Door mirrors are electrically adjustable and come with heating elements to keep them mist free.The interior looks sophisticated with dual-tone shades of beige & grey, woodgrain dashboard, and chrome inlays. Compared to the Embera, the Transform gets an all-new and impressive centre console. Steering wheel is wrapped in luxurious leather and has tilt/telescopic function. The Blue LED illuminated dashboard and padded door panels add a fresh look the cabin.
Design and Interior:
The sleek car has seat belts with pre-tensioners, easing movement on Indian roads. The interior is stylish and it is equipped with all necessary accessories including Room Lamp with delayed off, Glove Box With Cover, Illumination and lock, Cigar Lighter with Illumination, Front Ashtray with Illumination, Rear Ashtray, Door-mounted Full-size Armrest (Front & Rear) and Rear Centre Armrest with Cup Holders.
Powertrain & Performance:
The Sonata Transform is available in both diesel and petrol versions in two main variants - 2.4 VTVT (Petrol) and 2.0 CRDi (Diesel). The petrol version is powered by a 2.4-litre MPFI second generation Theta engine that produces 173 bhp and diesel variants come with a 148 bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine with a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT). The petrol engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and diesel engine is available with either a 6-speed manual or a 4-Speed H-Matic automatic gearbox which gives the choice of shifting from automatic to a manual sports mode when required.
