Mumbai has two Airports-The Chattrapathi Shivaji International Airport and Santa Cruz Domestic Airport.At a height of 26 feet above mean sea level, The Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport serves as one of India's major international airports. It is also the busiest, currently handleing up to 45 landings and takeoffs per hour. |

On arrival at the Chattrapathi Shivaji Airport (35 kms from city centre), the immigration, baggage retrieval and customs areas precede the remainder of the services. Exchange can be obtained at bank counters just outside the customs area. Hotel bookings and pre-paid taxis are available. There are no shops in the arrival area. The departure lounges are marginally better equipped for shopping. They also have a restaurant, a snack bar and exchange. However, check in and emigration is chaotic because of the bunching of flights at night. Phones are available at both arrival and departure. |

On arrival at the Santa Cruz Airport (25 kms from city center) the baggage retrieval area is skirted by counters for various services such as hotel reservations. There is no pre-paid taxi counter, although some auto-rentals may represent themselves as such. Taxis are available from a policed queue outside the terminal. The departure area has minimal shopping and a snack bar. Phones are available at both arrival and departure. |

Car parking is available at both terminals. There are about 1200 spaces at Terminal 2 and 800 spaces at the Terminal 1, with premium and standard car parks available at both terminals. Parking charges are Rs.60/- (About US $ 1.50) for 4 Hours or part thereof. Premium Parking charges are Rs.120/- (About US $ 2.75) for 4 Hours or part thereof. |

| |
Buses are available, with a city bus service to Mumbai and a pre-paid coach service to destinations in the southern states available. Intercity coach services can be booked in the Arrivals areas of Terminal 2.
A railway reservation counter is situated in Terminal 2, for connections to the metro rail system; trains run to the nearby airport Mumbai CST Terminus (formerly known as the Victoria Terminus) and Churchgate for connections to Mumbai and destinations throughout India. |

Luggage: Left-luggage facilities are available in both terminals.
Shopping : Duty-free is available in Terminal 2. There is also a pharmacy at the airport.
Other : These include First Aid and medical services, child care rooms and special snoozer chairs.
Eating and drinking : There are restaurants, snack bars, tea, cold drinks and coffee vending booths, bars, ice cream and chocolate shops at the airport. A cyber cafe is also available.
Money and communications : Telecommunications centres, offering telephones, fax, Internet and photocopying, are located in both terminals. There are also telephones, hotel reservation counters, bureaux de change, ATMs and postal services throughout both terminals. Wireless Internet access is available free of charge in both terminals.
